Recently launched west end Proprietary trading house seeks to expand the team with the appointment of a senior level individual to work alongside the CFO and manage the entire compliance process

The Role:

• It will be your responsibility to keep firm compliant under MiFID regulations and continue to monitor any changes in FSA compliance requirements and report direct to the board of directors.
• Manage communications with the FSA and other European regulatory bodies.
• Assist CFO and in-house accountants with quarterly projections and submissions
• Manage compliance duties relating to vendors, technology providers, accountants, lawyers, exchanges, Approved Reporting Mechanisms (ARMs), MTFs, and brokers/dealers.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to employees, as needed, on key legal, regulatory and policy requirements.

The Candidate:

Your background will comprise of:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3 to 5 years of similar experience, preferably in the hedge fund industry.
• Will also consider candidates with Broker-Dealer and/or Investment Advisor compliance experience.
• Working knowledge of UK regulatory requirements and MiFID essential.
