THE COMPANY:

My client is a start up independent investment manager based in Dubai. Their ultimate aim is to become one of the premier investment management organisations in the Middle East providing a full wealth management offering including Private Equity, Real Estate, Equity, Hedge Funds. Initially, my client is developing its Fund of Hedge Fund product and as such is seeking an individual for the below position.

THE ROLE:

The key responsibilities of the role will be:-

• Developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Company’s compliance policies
• Ensuring compliance with all of the Company’s polices and procedures, as well as all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and restrictions
• Ensuring Fund compliance with appropriate Regulations and Fund constitutional documents
• Oversight over compliance generally, including principles of business, market conduct and market abuse, COB rules
• Oversight over money laundering and know-your-client compliance, including acting as MLRO
• Being principal point of contact with the Regulators particularly the DFSA
• Overseeing the training of staff in compliance matters and anti-money laundering training.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Possess 5 to 10 years Compliance experience in the Asset Management industry and have extensive regulatory knowledge.
• Have a sound Fund and investment product knowledge.
• Possess a relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CFA
