THE COMPANY:

My client is a start up independent investment manager based in Dubai. Their ultimate aim is to become one of the premier investment management organisations in the Middle East providing a full wealth management offering including Private Equity, Real Estate, Equity, Hedge Funds. Initially, my client is developing its Fund of Hedge Fund product and as such is seeking an individual for the below position.

THE ROLE:

This role reports directly into the CIO and will work closely with the Investment Committee to streamline and aid the positive performance of the Fund of Hedge Fund business. The key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

• Support the CIO and add to the Investment Committee in order to streamline and advance the performance of the Fund of Hedge Fund Business.
• Research hedge funds across as wide a range of asset classes as possible, make decisions on potential strong investment opportunities and bring those ideas to the investment committee.
• Maintaining fund performance records for existing funds and keeping up-to-date on regulatory and industry developments and any implications they may have on the business.
• Monitoring risk management for the fund portfolios
• Liaison and management of relationship and reporting of external investment advisors
• Performance and risk analysis of universe of hedge funds in each market sector

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have a broad experience in Alternative investments, ideally in the Fund of Hedge Fund space and will also have covered a broad range of asset classes and strategies to date. The successful candidate will also be required to be flexible to meet the demands of a start up organisation with a relevant professional qualification such as CFA beneficial but not essential.
