Position Description:
The Investment Banking Product Control business department is responsible for the profit and loss (P&L) statements and the balance sheet resulting from that trading activity. To provide the optimum service level to the department there is a mirror IT division, PCIT, in which this job is located.
Product Control IT supports a diverse range of applications and technologies to support the entities and products processed by the business. This includes several critical systems required for Derivatives P&L validation/reporting and various other applications. Some of the applications are legacy in nature, having been developed in MS Access, others have been developed more recently and use .net technologies.
The Principal Objectives of this position are:
You will be a .Net Developer on PCIT's Accounting & Structured Notes team and you will be responsible for production support, including investigation & resolution of production issues, defect analysis and remediation and QA of Code.
Experience / qualifications:
You will have a good experience in IT development. A reasonable understanding and appreciation of project lifecycles is expected, although this may have been gained outside investment banking.
You will have design and development experience using VBA (Access/Excel) and .Net. An understanding of banking/derivative products would be useful although not essential.
On a personal level you will be a good communicator who is very keen to get their teeth stuck in to quality work and learn new technologies as you progress in your role. The future scope for growth is vast for the candidate who has a strong desire to succeed.
