Job Description

Front Office, Developer, Excel, VBA, Trading, Fixed Income, Derivatives

Credit Suisse has an outstanding opportunity for a strong Financial Spreadsheet Developer to join one of our market leading teams in Fixed Income Derivatives.

As one of the world's leading banks, Credit Suisse provides its clients with investment banking, private banking and asset management services worldwide. Credit Suisse is active in over 50 countries and employs approximately 45,000 people.

Position Description:
Your primary role will be to develop trading spreadsheets used for derivatives trading and risk management. These spreadsheets push Excel to its limits in terms of complexity and sophistication. Projects will range from enhancements to improving control / efficiency in existing spreadsheets, development of new trading spreadsheets for new business initiatives and the implementation of newly developed in-house interfaces and technologies.  The team also occasionally develop web based applications for the trading area using the latest Microsoft technologies.

Although part of a close knit supervised team, you will be individually responsible for the projects you work on. Working closely with Fixed Income traders and their support groups (Quant teams, Product Control, Risk Management etc) you will possess strong self motivation, enthusiasm and very good communication skills.

This is an area that strongly recognises hard work and on this basis there is excellent scope for project management and team lead responsibilities in the future.

Experience/qualifications:
Solid Excel / VBA development experience in a financial institution and having dealt with advanced trading related spreadsheets and traders in a front office environment. Ideally you will have good knowledge of financial / trading related risk and financial instruments (preferably Fixed Income derivatives but will also consider candidates with strong Equity or Credit derivatives knowledge).

To the extent permitted or required by applicable law, a candidate who is offered employment will be subject to a criminal record check and other background checks before the appointment is confirmed.
