Job Description

Our client is a fast growing Retail company. They have experienced substantial growth in recent years, some organic but mostly through high scale acquisition. Further to their latest acquisition they are in the process of recruiting a multiple number of positions within their management accounts finance team. As an Assistant Financial Accountant the successful candidate will report directly into the Financial Accounting Manager. Key responsibilities will include: i) To implement continuous improvements, ensuring robust financial controls are in place to allow integrity, relevance, accuracy and consistency of the financial accounts across all PME companies. Challenge and eliminate manual processes where possible ii) To undertake balance sheet reconciliations iii) To ensure financial controls are complied with iv) Other relevant ad hoc duties as required The successful candidate will be Part Qualified in their CIMA / ACCA studies with an extensive background in financial accounting with good exposure to development of internal controls and processes. You will possess outstanding interpersonal skills and be effectively able to work in a fast moving / operational facing environment.
