Job Description

Payroll & Finance Officer required for a small finance department based in South Manchester. The main tasks are: to take full responsibility of the day to day recording, processing and balancing of the monthly payrolls and to ensure staff are paid accurately, efficiently and timely in accordance with terms of employment and Government legislation. You will produce payroll documents such as P45's, P46's and P60's.
Alongside the payroll function you will also be responsible for preparing and posting all purchase ledger transactions on to the Sage system, reconcile the purchase ledger balances to supplier statements and investigating the reconciling items. The ideal candidate will have previous payroll experience and be looking for more of a varied role. You will have excellent communication skills.
My client is a small not for profit organisation based in South Manchester and the Head of Finance is looking to re-structure and expand the whole finance department hence the reason this role has arisen. The role will initially be temporary with view to become permanent after 4-8 weeks.
Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
