Our client, a market leading housing and facilities management organisation, requires a strong systems accountant to join their changing organisation and make improvements on their current accountancy programme.  This position will be based on a 2 year fixed term contract with a salary and outstanding permanent benefits for the full contract.  The systems accountant will be required to look at the current systems and processes and, with requirement analysis, assess the best way to make changes and update modules, processes accordingly.  The current system is an oracle based programme and therefore knowledge of this is desirable.  The successful candidate will be required to develop the reporting processes and also to train staff where necessary.  Experience within a similar project, using an oracle-based programme and working with colleagues at all levels is essential for this role.  An accountancy qualification is not essential, however strong systems experience with knowledge and understanding of the way a large organisation consolidates accounts is a must for this role.  The systems accountant role is urgent, so if you have a strong interest in improving systems, liaising with third parties and adding value to an organisation then please do not hesitate to apply.
