The Role

The treasury team has a track record of working on strategic treasury assignments with blue chip clients in the UK, continental Europe and further afield.

This is a chance to become involved in the treasury function at a strategic and managerial level, to design and implement practical solutions and to enhance technical knowledge and project management skills. This is also an opportunity to develop personal communication skills, both written and presentational, to work with different organisational cultures and to experience different treasury and banking practices.
Responsibilities
A Manager/Executive Advisor within Corporate Treasury Services would provide a number of specialist advisory services, including:
- Lead reviews of treasury risk management policies, processes, controls, and procedures. This includes identifying improvements as well as highlighting control weaknesses.
- Benchmarking client's Treasury functions against 'best in class'.
- Assisting clients with specification, selection, implementation and review of Treasury IT and payment systems.
- UK and US GAAP financial instrument accounting and implementation advice.
- SOX treasury documentation design, review and testing.
- Keeping up to date with developments in Treasury and understanding how they impact clients.
- Creation and development of work programmes which address the specific requirements of the client.
- Report and presentation of findings to the client's senior management team as well as partners, directors and managers.
- Identifying and following up sales leads successfully.
- Helping to take responsibility for developing new products and methodologies.
- Develop, recruit and retain junior members of the team.
The Individual
Should:
- Be either a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers or hold an accountancy qualification or MBA.
- Have solid Treasury experience (including experience of managing Treasury teams).
- Be able to demonstrate either:
- A thorough understanding of International Accounting Standards 39 and/or the US GAAP FAS133; or
- Managerial experience of treasury and electronic banking systems (preferably including experience of leading system implementation or upgrades); or
- End to end cash management and banking services (including payment systems) experience; or
- Management of Treasury accounting and control activities experience; or
- Experience of setting up or transforming the treasury function.
- Be open minded and flexible.
