Who they are

This client is a leading niche administrator of private equity, real estate and other alternative asset classes with over $100 billion of funds under administration from offices worldwide. They have evolved into a multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional financial services group with around 1000 employees offering legal services and the administration of companies, trusts, securitisations and funds. It has a distinct culture that is entrepreneurial, friendly and focused on its overall vision.

The role

This client has recently launched an organisation wide initiative to change the accounting and administration platform used to service all private equity clients and need a number of candidates to come onboard and help support the business teams in collating, reconciling and formatting source data from legacy systems in preparation for migration. You will also be working with the business teams to resolve issues to obtain sign off of fund data and be the main point of reference for business teams in the catch up process to allow funds to go live. You will also work alongside key clients dealing with their funds and reporting requirements to ensure successful transition. Another key responsibility will be with regard to the development of relationships and working closely with teams in a range of jurisdictions.

What they are looking for

The candidate is likely to be a qualified or part qualified accountant with the appetite for challenge that this project brings. The candidate will need strong interpersonal skills to engage with the various business teams involved in the project. The candidate must also be able to work with minimum supervision, effectively manage workloads and meet deadlines. This is a great opportunity for someone to get involved in projects and Private Equity administration. They seek someone with good solid accounting knowledge who has intermediate Excel skills and good reconciliation experience. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate good organisational skills and be self-motivated. Experience in Private Equity is highly desirable and previous system migration projects experience would also be beneficial.
