This role will suit someone who has either given up the actuarial examinations, or alternatively, who has worked in a finance department undertaking systems work, for example, testing of finance systems.

Responsibilities:
Providing actuarial support to the business.
Performing calculations, undertaking projects & developing/maintaining programs in response to internal or external customer needs.
Liaison between actuarial teams & customer service areas
Undertaking case specific product/calculation system support & advice to all areas of the business
Supporting the provision of actuarial services
Dealing with enquiries & performing complex calculations in response to customer needs
Undertaking specific pieces of work on a day to day basis or within a project environment.
Develop detailed spread sheets to perform complex calculations to provide policy information to customers.
Develop detailed spread sheet models to consolidate information and provide analysis using the models
Contribute to projects within the department to achieve defined business improvements
Contribute to the business by providing actuarial input and wider business understanding to business projects.
Manage small project initiatives through to implementation
Work with colleagues to produce detailed projections for senior Manager in the actuarial department
Co-ordinate and supervise the work of team members
Contracting with key business contacts on delivery of key goals/tasks outlining timescales and appropriate review methods
Obtains regular feedback on services provided to ensure continuous improvement and build feedback into improved processes
Able to coach colleagues/new starters in relevant departmental processes
