Job Description
My Client is a succesful business services organisation based in Cheshire, they are now looking for a talented individual to take up the role of Personal Tax Senior.
The Role
Reporting to the Personal Tax Team Manager this role offers an unusual opportunity for someone wishing to work in personal taxation. It will particularly suit someone with experience wishing to move into a totally different, fresh and exciting environment, but attitude will be more important than qualifications. The tax service was started last year and completed nearly 1000 returns in its first year. The intention is to grow the service to a market leading position (5000 returns) within 3 Years.
The individual will:
Have experience of dealing with customers over the phone and be able to give advice on simple tax matters.
Preferably have relevant experience either in the profession or within HMRC. Be able to talk to customers and colleagues on technical matters in a jargon free manner.
Have experience and an aptitude for working with personal tax returns on a large scale. It will be an advantage to have worked on tax either within the profession or HMRC.
Be customer focused and understand that we are operating in a service industry.
Have good communication skills
Be detail orientated and have good administrative skills
Enjoy working under pressure and to welcome new challenges.
