We are now looking for a Commercial Accountant to join our Finance department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic multi-site FMCG business in a challenging role with solid prospects for future progression. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be accountable for acting as a catalyst for change, able to identify, encourage and drive change in business performance, through commercial reporting within the business.

As Commercial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Pricing, margin analysis, carrying out product profitability/mix reviews.
• Promotion evaluation and category performance.

Other duties include:

• Procurement initiatives,
• New business development,
• Customer profitability analysis  
• Assisting with sales forecasting and analysis.

Candidates should have an appreciation of the fundamental drivers of business performance, in identifying and delivering the appropriate information to interpret and influence performance. In addition, you will have the ability to drive systems changes, which improve the availability and monitoring of key performance information. 

The successful applicant must have:

• The CIMA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent), along with an excellent understanding of business and financial systems.
• We are looking for a strong relationship builder, able to influence individuals and teams, utilising their financial expertise and adding value.
• An aptitude for identifying and delivering effective changes,
• A commercial understanding and high levels of accuracy, detail, integrity and presentation skills are seen as essential.
