Job Profile
An opportunity has arisen for a Motor Underwriting Manager to join the General Insurance Underwriting Department, reporting to the Chief Underwriting Manager. This important role invloves personal responsibility of up to £1 million underwriting on individual policies and contributory responsibility for the Department budget of c.£2 million in addition to controlling a book of in excess of £400m GWP. The main duties of the role are determining underwriting strategy, contributing to the development of Motor products, managing all employees of the team including training.

Applicant Requirements
It is essential that the successful candidate has significant motor underwriting experience, ideally within a head office environment. They will have the ability to lead and motivate people at all levels and have a proven track record in change management. Drive, energy and enthusiasm are highly desirable qualities. Candidates must be of graduate calibre and possess ACII., Advanced Diploma in insurance or equivalent.
