Treasury Accountant
London
£60,000 - £65,000
A FTSE 100 company based in Westminster is currently seeking to recruit a Treasury Accountant to join their busy accounts department. A world leader in consumer packaging they are also the world leader in beverage can making. A company with a sales revenue last year beyond £3.5 billion they are seeing considerable growth and are looking to move the business forward.
Working as part of the head office team, with a centralised treasury function, this is an important role which will operate as part of a key link between the treasury and accounting functions.
You will be required to carry out the following:
Responsible for the IFRS aspects of the treasury and accounting functions, including:
Revaluation of Group's financial instruments and making the appropriate entries in the accounting records.
Treasury documentation relating to hedge accounting under IAS39.
Hedge effectiveness testing to comply with IAS39.
Year end IFRS7 disclosures and ensuring appropriateness of the group's accounting policies. To be responsible for forecasting the Group interest charge and monitoring and explaining deviations from forecast.
To monitor the rating agency position and prepare the rating agency metrics for the monthly management report. To work closely with both external and internal auditors. To keep up to date of the latest technical requirements with respect to treasury accounting and more general treasury and accounting, as required.
Our client has also stated that the successful candidate will have a strong grasp of IT systems and MUST BE ACA OR ACT QUALIFIED.
