This is a leading UK Independent Broker providing a high quality and professional solution to the insurance requirements of its diverse client base. A new position has been created for an Operations Director, reporting into the Managing Director. The roles strategic objectives include: . Develop and execute successful strategies for internal and external Operational Fulfilment to contribute to a medium term objective of 25 pct per annum improvement in profitability. . To be directly responsible for operational excellence across the Company. . Provide leadership to his/her direct reports and within a matrix management structure to facilitate the Company`s growth plans over the next 3-5 years. . To be directly responsible for all aspects of control in the business in order to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. . Develop and implement a service-led business culture which puts the customer first whilst controlling the risks and costs of delivery. . Implement performance goals at a collective and individual level across all realms of Operations. Key Issues: . Increase the profitability of the existing businesses. . Improve the Company`s capability to grow sustainable. . Implement effective change management culture and processes across the Company. . Integrate acquisitions into the existing business model and infrastructure . Develop and implement best-in-class Operations propositions and tools for all core services. . To ensure at all times that the Operations and processes comply with the needs of internal and external stakeholders, specifically FSA. . Communicate and culturally champion the operations strategy throughout the organisation, obtaining the buy-in of all staff and key stakeholders. . Develop the Operations capabilities of the Company through raising the quality and professionalism of the Operations teams and provide direction to all team members. We are looking for a candidate with a successful track record at Senior Operations management level in the insurance industry, specifically within broking and preferably with some experience within a major broking house on corporate and commercial insurance programmes. The incumbent should have a proven ability to create and implement strategy, whilst acting tactically in support of individual revenue opportunities and be of graduate calibre/MBA or similarly qualified and/or professionally qualified through the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII or FCII).
