Job Description
Could this be the opportunity you have been looking for? Would you like to work for an international investment bank? This world renowned investment banking group is seeking an IT Audit Senior to join the Internal Audit Function of their London arm. Read on if you think this is the role for you.
The main accountabilities for this role will be:
? Support the Audit Manager in scoping the audit where necessary
? Understand and document allocated processes
? Identify, assess & document risks and controls within these processes
? Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls & document this understanding in the BIA audit toolkit(s)
? Write high quality audit observations and support the Audit Manager in writing the report
? Provide suggestions to management for how they can address the control issues identified
? Provide suggestions to management for actions to address control issues identified
? Discuss and agree the factual accuracy of audit observations with auditees. Discuss these with Audit Manager and HoA
? Update the Audit Manager and audit team with progress and observations.
? Build good working relationships with auditees
? Participate fully and supportively in all audits
Suitable candidates must:
? Understand control, regulatory and risk issues
? Display familiarity and knowledge of investment banking including: wholesale financing products, primary and secondary debt capital markets, structured
? Demonstrate a good understanding of the controls in place to support the business, in particular, operations, risk management, finance and product control activities in the front to back trade cycle
? Understand relevant regulatory environment
? Have detailed technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and applications that support the businesses and functions
? Have detailed knowledge of current investment banking techniques including communications, security payments, change and project management
? Have experience in risk based auditing or risk/control activities in investment banking business
