Job Description
Team:
This role is within the FI BUC CTB team of Finance, specifically aligned to the Fixed Income Business Unit Control team (a.k.a Product Control).
The CTB teams are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the end-to-end business process; specifically in reference to new change items, but also on an on-going basis.
In practice this involves:
- Managing the identification and specification of all business areas functional change requirements during the change process design phase. This covers necessary manual as well as system changes, tactical as well as strategic.
- Ensuring that all controls necessary for the complete, accurate and appropriate data-flow are available throughout the front-to-back business and are fully defined and owned both within the change stream and ultimately by line resources.
- Ensuring that all functional changes are tested and that the performance of this specific control, as well as wider full process regression testing, adequately supports implementation signoff. This requires the consolidation, reporting and interpretation of test results.
- Driving the resolution by responsible stakeholders of issues identified during the testing phases.
- Ensuring the integrity of the front to back process in relation to any required conversion approach and on-going business covering all functional areas.
Your job will be part our Fixed Income (FI) team of analysts (specifically the FI PnL Tools team). This team is aligned with the Fixed Income Finance area covering derivative trading of; Rates and credit products (Flow and Structured), Energy, Municipal and Mortgage backed Securities, Emerging Markets, and Banking book products.
The job's primary objective is the pro-active participation within the FI PnL Tools Strategic change portfolio, ensuring the implementation and ongoing assurance of the PnL reporting strategy; with particular emphasis on Finance systems such as the General Ledger and P&L systems.
The job will give you involvement in the development and execution of the target operating model (TOM) for the Fixed Income BUC P&L and control processes. This will form the strategic roadmap for Fixed Income BUC.
The job will allow you to manage the relationship between Finance and the key stakeholders in the Fixed Income business, including trading and logistics.
The job requires close liaison with other areas of FCD (Equities, FX etc), as well as IT personnel involved in the management of process change.

- Project lifecycles and project deliverables.
- It requires a strong BUC process and technical understanding to be able to add value in the analysis and design phase.
Skill-set includes:
- You have proactive problem and task management.
- You have ability as a business process analyst.
- You have strong Fixed Income product knowledge.
- You have participated in FTB implementations across the project lifecycle within the trading arm of an investment bank.
- You must have excellent communication skills and should be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with senior managers on relatively complex subject matter.
