Job Description
Assistant Payroll Manager required to work within a busy payroll department. This is a superb payroll position which involves providing a support service handling all related queries. You will be dealing with Tax, National Insurance, SSP and SMP, 4 weekly payroll for 4000 employees. Must be a team player but be able to work autonomously. You will be responsible for 4 payroll processors and in the absence of the payroll manager must have the ability to take on the management role.
Experience working within payroll is essential, as you will be dealing with most aspects of payroll including SSP, SMP and overtime. As you will be liaising with external clients to ensure timely and accurate payment of payroll, excellent communication skills are required. High volume payroll processing would be advantageous as would experience of Pegasus. This is not an easy role but very rewarding and you will be given training and support.
Our client, a large service organization, is seeking an Assistant Payroll Manager to work in their payroll department. Working for a leading UK company at their Warrington offices, this is a permanent position with excellent prospects. Close to local amenities, on site parking and great for transport links about 1 minute from the train station. This is easily accessible from any part of Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, St Helen's, Wigan or Leigh.
Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
