Job Description
Bookkeeper required to work in the accounts department, reporting to the Managing Director. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for the day to day running of the accounts, from maintaining ledger, to credit control, through to processing of wages, VAT returns, and monthly reporting.
The Bookkeeper must have previous accounts experience, and be familiar with maintaining ledgers. It would be beneficial for the bookkeeper to have experience in PAYE, VAT returns, and monthly reporting although this is not essential. Experience of sage line 50 would be advantageous as well as excel although again not necessary. The Bookkeeper should have a professional outlook and be capable of working in an open plan office.
My client is a relatively new company that deals heavily with information technology in a service environment. A professional and exciting place to work, the company offers and excellent remuneration package and an ability to develop a accounts function in a supportive, friendly environment. Based outside of Halifax close to the Sowerby Bridge area, my client is accessible by public transport or car.
Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
