Job Description
Financial Accountant required to cover all accountancy aspects from maintaining overall control of input to the Company ledger to management and board reporting and to form part of a team of 8 people responsible for controlling the ledgers of all service companies. You will also be responsible for timely completion of management reports for management including Company Board papers, the implementation and effective use of appropriate controls and processes, the support of management from all financial aspects including support in budget preparation and commentary.
The successful candidate will either be a Finalist or Fully Qualified accountant. No prior insurance knowledge is needed for this role, however the role requires the job holder to show initiative, be organised, have strong communication skills, be both delivery and customer focused, be effective in enforcing ledger controls and identifying weakness in the controls and have supervisory experience.
Our client is a specialist insurance and reinsurance underwriting group, listed on the London Stock Exchange. This role is as the main accountant for the corporate companies within the Group including the ultimate parent company, the group managing agent and the corporate services.
