Job Description
Assistant Accountant required for a 6 to 9 month contract covering maternity leave. Working closely with the Financial Controller duties will include Month End Accounts - Reconciling P&L account, ensuring all items are posted to the correct ledgers and doing journals. Also posting all accruals and prepayments as necessary. Keeping Stock levels of glass at a minimum inc. stock take on a monthly and Payroll for 48 employees both monthly and weekly. Whilst supervising 2 members of staff.
The successful candidate will be available to commit to the full term of the assignment. You will have previous experience of working in a similar position and environment. Strong IT skills are essential along with good communication skills as you will be required to liaise with all levels of employees within the business.
